4TIUS is a software targeting the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle by using specific algorithms to perform the function of a trainer or coach.

In the 21st century, promoting physical activity should be a necessity, not a luxury.

The focus on physical activity in its broadest sense, be multi-sectoral, employ population-level solutions, improve the environment for activity and increase equity in access and possibilities for being physically active.

The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 2 h/day of standing and light activity (light walking) during working hours, eventually progressing to a total accumulation of 4 h/day (prorated to part-time hours).

Along with other health promotion goals (improved nutrition, reducing alcohol, smoking and stress), companies should also promote among their staff that prolonged sitting, aggregated from work and in leisure time, may significantly and independently increase the risk of cardio-metabolic diseases and premature mortality.
